Section 1 – Application

Apply on website or with GreenProfit Consultant, receive materials electronically

• Company completes an application either on the website or directly with their GreenProfit Consultant and finalizes the sign-up process. Immediately following successful completion, a confirmation page/e-mail provides instructions to access the GreenProfit Library, Merchant Marketplace, Newsletter, and other content for use by employees.
• Applicant receives electronic copies of the following assistive documents:

• Guidelines to Sustainability - Featuring fiscally-responsible "green" improvements within the following areas:

Energy & Water

Air Quality

Office & Cleaning Products

Transportation

Recycling

Yard care

•  Sustainability Plan
•  Implementation Guide
•  Sample Press Release
•  Employee Announcement

Section 2 – Implementation

Implementation includes completing Guidelines to Sustainability with assistance from GreenProfit Solutions Consultants

The staff at GreenProfit encourages everyone to become involved in the approval process. To facilitate this, a sample employee announcement is distributed to allow the environmental leaders in the company help inspire staff to become engaged in implementation while also encouraging everyone’s active participation.

With many levels of staff working cooperatively, the Guidelines to Sustainability’s Primary Improvement items are notated as one of the following:

Completed, In Progress, Mitigation (if approved), or Not Applicable. Your local GreenProfit Consultant (if applicable) and home office GreenProfit staff are also available to perform customized audits on the company’s waste, water, and electrical consumption. As partners with various EPA divisions, GreenProfit Solutions is qualified to employ industry-standard calculation systems to maximize savings for the business. Any questions regarding these programs may be directed to Customer Service.

Once all items are notated and initial audits are complete, the Guidelines are submitted to GreenProfit Solutions, Inc. for review, confirmation, and endorsement.

Section 3 – Marketing

Market sustainability plan and environmental programs to existing and potential customers

Upon approval, the company receives a fulfillment package ideal for use in media outreach and press releases. Included within this package:
• Specially-designed Approved Green Business certificate and formal presentation to company executives
• Sample “Going Green” article for publication in company newsletter or magazine

•  Approved Green Business Certification Seal (formats suitable for print or website)
•  Sample customer (or member) newsletter announcement
•  Sample press release announcing newly-achieved Approved Green Business status

In addition, GreenProfit Solutions performs the following outreach items for all new Approved Green Businesses:

•  Issue press release announcing company’s attainment of "Approved Green Business" status
•  Within 48 hours, post news update on GreenProfit Solutions website
•  E-mail News Blast dedicated to company’s Approved Green Business Certification to all GreenProfit corporate contacts
•  Feature business accomplishments in following month’s newsletter

As a more environmentally aware business, the company may elect to offer the GreenProfit Benefits to all members and customers.
